Dr. Frank Fontana Honored at Optometry's Meeting®

Dr. Frank Fontana, an MOA member for more than 50 years, was honored by the AOA Contact Lens and Cornea Section (CLCS) at the 2010 Optometry's Meeting.

The CLCS held a dedication ceremony naming the CLCS hospitality center after Dr. Fontana.

Uncle Frank, as his friends call him, was a founding member in 1981 and one of the first chairs of the CLCS.

Dr. Fontana is an Illinois College of Optometry graduate. He was one of the charter members of the Heart of America Contact Lens Society Board in 1961.

Dr. Fontana has served both the MOA and the AOA in many capacities over the years. In 1987 he received the OD of the Year award from the Heart of America Contact Lens Society.
