Member Dues


Membership dues are waived for the remainder of the calendar year from date of graduation. Thereafter, membership dues for the first full calendar year after graduation is 10% of the full annual dues; for the second calendar year, 20%; for the third year, 50%; for the fourth year, 75%; and, for the fifth calendar year and each following year 100%.

Annual dues for active MOA members are $700.00. Annual dues for active AOA members are $661.00 (optometrists must belong to both organizations).

It shall be the policy of the Association to provide options for members to pay membership dues. The policies and procedures described herein are designed to make it as easy as possible for members to submit timely payments of their dues obligations.

Membership dues are due and payable January 1 of each year. For members convenience, several payment options are available. Each option is designed to keep members in good standing, that is, at least 25% of dues paid in each calendar quarter, and dues paid in full as of October 31. Payment options are: Annual, quarterly, and monthly.

Payments to the MOA/AOA are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, they may be deductible under other provisions of the Internal Revenue code.
